Discover the Mallorca Zeitung 2024 Awards and the 23rd Autumn Golf Tournament 2024

At Bodega Sa Cabana, we are pleased to announce our participation as sponsors of two important events highlighting social commitment and sport in Mallorca. This October we will join the celebration of the Mallorca Zeitung 2024 Awards and the 23rd Autumn Golf Tournament at the Alcanada Golf Club.

Mallorca Zeitung 2024 Awards

The sixth edition of the Mallorca Zeitung Awards will take place next Thursday 10th October in a place full of history: the Bodega Suau, founded in 1851 by the Mallorcan Joan Suau i Bennàssar, this beautiful place will be the perfect setting for this event.

Since its creation in 2028, these awards aim to recognise German, Swiss and Austrian residents in Mallorca who, through excellence, innovation and their social work, have helped to build bridges between the local and European communities. We at Bodega Sa Cabana are proud to be part of this community and to support this event that promotes integration and wellbeing on the island.

This year, the award winners represent the diversity of actions that are making a difference in Mallorcan society:

Lions Club Palma will receive the Social Commitment Award 2024 for its ‘Food for All’ project, which has been supplying food banks on the island for more than 15 years.
Rainer Oberguggenberger, a psychiatrist and medical director at a clinic in Palma, will be honoured for his work in mental health care and his fight against the stigma surrounding it.
Corinna Graf, entrepreneur and director of the Puerto Portals marina, will be recognised for her outstanding contribution to the local economy, creating jobs and improving the island’s infrastructure.

The 23rd Autumn Golf Tournament

In addition to our participation in the Mallorca Zeitung Awards, we will be pleased to sponsor the 23rd Autumn Golf Tournament, which will be held at the Alcanada Golf Club. This sporting event brings together golf enthusiasts from all over Europe in a spectacular setting, surrounded by views of the sea and the Alcanada lighthouse.

True to our commitment to tradition and quality, we are excited to be part of these initiatives that promote sport and strengthen the ties between the different communities that coexist on the island.
