In addition to its events and tastings, every year Verema organises the prestigious Verema Awards, considered the ‘Oscars of wine’ due to their relevance in the sector.

On 9 February 2025, Verema kicked off its 25th anniversary celebrations with a special gala where the best wineries, wines and professionals in the sector were honoured. The ceremony, led by Juan Such and Esther Láez, co-founders of Verema, was attended by key industry figures and was notable for its emotion and recognition of the most influential players in the Spanish wine industry.

Sa Cabana Giró Ros: the elegance of the Best White Wine of 2024
Among the wines nominated in this edition, Sa Cabana Giró Ros has achieved an outstanding position. This white wine, made from the native Giró Ros variety, reflects the essence of the Mallorcan winery and its commitment to tradition and excellence.
Characteristics and tasting notes
Sa Cabana Giró Ros 2023 has a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections, bright and clean. Its floral aroma is reminiscent of orange blossom, accompanied by subtle notes of white fruit, such as not very ripe pear. On the palate, its attack is dry and light, with an elegant and refreshing passage that leaves a very subtle herbaceous finish, evoking hints of fennel.
Origin and production
The grapes used for this wine come from young vineyards of six years of age, with an early harvest that allows the wine to preserve its high natural acidity. The grapes are harvested by hand, using 12 kg crates to guarantee the integrity of the bunches. Subsequently, the grapes are stored in cold chambers at 4°C for 24 hours, avoiding unwanted oxidation before the winemaking process.
Total destemming is carried out, followed by gentle pneumatic pressing to extract the best from the fruit. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks, which preserves the purity of its aromas and gives it freshness and balance.
